Our maximalist green and pink chinoiserie room!
Bright and bold for a creative girl!
Lucky for me, my daughter Bonnie is my number one fan and was so excited to decorate her room using wallpapers and fabrics from my new Harlequin range.
She previously had a box room, 2 metres by 2 metres (a beautiful box room might I add, click to see!) so only enough space for a single bed and one small piece of furniture. We had the room extended by another 2 metres to give her all the space she needs!

I worked alongside Jane Clayton and Harlequin to create her dreamy bedroom scheme. She's 7 years old and super creative, so she wanted to pick her own bold scheme to match her bubbly personality!

I laid out the full collection and she immediately chose Lady Alford in apple and Marsha in powder. I am a colour and pattern lover, but I have to admit I was a little nervous about putting two very bold patterns together, but Bonnie insisted that she wouldn't have it any other way!
Jane Clayton and Harlequin joined forces to create this scheme for Bonnie. We used their made to measure service which was so incredibly easy!
You just select your fabric and click 'Make into...' provide your measurements and any additional tassels or trims and thats it, you have your unique pieces delivered straight to your door.
We had a unique idea for the headboard so we worked with Jane Clayton and using their made to measure service we created a beautifully curved shape, fit for a princess!

The cushions and curtains were both custom made by Jane Clayton using my Harlequin fabrics. Bonnie chose to add pink pom poms, the perfect choice for her vibrant room.

Revamping old furniture is one of my passions and these work so well in contrast to the bold patterns. I found some marketplace pieces and re painted using Sanderson paint colour French Rose.

Bonnie is quite the little artist and mostly loves to learn to paint versions of my Chinoiserie art (I know...cute right!!). We had her two favorite paintings framed and displayed proudly above her chest of drawers and her bedside cabinet.

The bedside lamp has been custom made by Beavamp using my Ella linen Harlequin fabric. Beavamp are specialists in hand made bespoke lighting and have created many light shades for my home.

We created a bespoke bed look by having the bed base upholstered by ID Upholstery. The base was purchased from Bensons for beds, we then sent it to ID upholstery to wrap in my Harlequin Marsha fabric.
ID Upholstery also reimagined a second hand ottoman as a fun and uplifting new toy box. We chose my Harlequin lovelace fabric in apple and added a gorgeous green trim, available from Jane Clayton.

It is safe to say that Bonnie absolutely loves her new room, she now has the space she needs for lots more creativity. Her favorite pieces are her headboard and her new art desk, she also loves her bedside lamp as it makes the room feel so cozy in the evening.

I love that Bonnie chose everything herself and is truly in love with the space, our only compromise was to introduce a simple green stripe wallpaper from Sanderson on the two narrower walls. This served to break up the pattern and to let the headboard stand out more. Thankfully she was quite accepting of my slight tweak!
